Keeper of the Kun Peng
The Kun Peng is the largest creature in Chinese mythology — a fish so vast it becomes a bird whose wings span the sky. For ten thousand years, it has slept at the bottom of the Northern Ocean. Fisherman's son Hai Ping never expected to see it. But when a celestial war threatens to wake the Kun Peng — and its awakening would flood the mortal world — Hai Ping becomes the creature's unlikely 'Keeper,' bonded by an ancient seal. He must calm the Kun Peng, navigate the politics of gods who want to use it as a weapon, and figure out how a teenage fisherman convinces a creature the size of a mountain to go back to sleep.
